Congressman Antonio Delgado (NY-19) visited Middleburgh Central Schools on May 30, visiting classrooms, speaking with students, and touring programs.
The Congressman toured the new agriculture program at Middleburgh Jr./Sr. High School before participating in a 25-minute question-and-answer session with Jr./Sr. High School students in the library. Students asked the Congressman about a variety of topics, including censorship, the power of young people in politics, and preventing school shootings. The Congressman and students had productive discussions the topics.
Congressman Delgado also visited the afternoon Pre-K program at Middleburgh Elementary School. There, he read a book to students before donating a box of books to the program. Students and teachers also presented the Congressman with a sign and freshly grown vegetables.
