Student musicians bring honor to MCS

MCS vocal students were participants in Honor Choirs sponsored by the New York chapter of the American Choral Directors’ Association (ACDA) in conjunction with the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) summer conference in Albany. The Middle School Honors Choir was directed by Dr. Andrea Ramsey of University of Colorado. MCS participants were Luke Bramer, Ashton Jensen, Hailey Mollitor, Cameryn Shultes, and Chloe Smith. MCS participants in the Elementary Choir were Megan Bramer and Danielle Freer. The director was Rollo Dillworth, professor of Choral Music at Temple University.

Madison Yung, a senior at MCS, has just received notification of her acceptance in the All State Mixed Chorus. This is one of the highest honors a New York State music student can receive. Madi will rehearse and perform at the NYSSMA Winter Conference in Rochester this coming December.

Congratulations to all these music students! We are proud of your accomplishments.
