Faculty milestones announced at June BOE meeting

Board of education and administration members observed some major milestones among faculty members on June 7. Four teachers and one administrator were granted tenure and eight retirements were announced.

The BOE granted tenure to:

  • Brooke Ingram in the area of Remedial Reading, effective Sept.1, 2023
  • Amy Irwin in the area of Administration, effective July 14, 2023. 
  • Carley Ryan in the area of Elementary Education, effective Sept. 1, 2023
  • Maria Sime in the area of Social Studies, effective July 1, 2023
  • Sarah Tomic in the area of Music, effective Sept. 1, 2023

MCS is also bidding a fond farewell to the following faculty members:

  • Roxann Collins, elementary teacher, 22 years 
  • Darcy Laraway, science teacher, 30 years
  • Wesley Laraway, social studies teacher, 27 years
  • Ross Pacatte, mathematics teacher, 24 years
  • Eileen Rodman, special education teacher, 30 years
  • Shari Sauter, speech-language pathologist, 30 years
  • Jeanne Sheehan, teaching assistant, 22 years
  • Richard Thaxter III, mathematics teacher, 30 years
