Quin Smith and Sarah Schafroth traveled to Rochester to compete at the Future Business Leaders of America State Conference among more than 500 students from across New York.
Quin competed in the Introduction to Public Speaking event. He made it to the final round of competitors and ended up finishing in the top 8 in the state.
Sarah competed in Introduction to Decision Making. She made it to the semifinal round and finished in the top 15 in the state.
“I am very proud of Quin and Sarah. They went outside their comfort zones to compete against some really tough competition from across the state and did extremely well,” said FBLA Advisor Denise Colistra. “The professionalism they displayed as tenth graders is something this community can be proud of!”
