On Saturday, May 4, four teams gathered to battle it out in the 2019 MES Battle of the Books; The Toxic Titans of Reading, Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Book, The Booksters and The Story Soldiers. Teams competed against each other in three rounds of play, answering questions by providing the correct title and author.
At the end of the three rounds, there was a tie between The Booksters and Who’s Afriad of the Big Bad Book. After a tie-breaking round where each team was asked three questions, The Booksters were victorious!
Congratulations to Vivian Chen (team captain), Samantha Croote, Skylar Kennedy, Madalena Quinn and Cecilia Shultes for winning the 2019 MES Battle of the Books!
