Middleburgh Central School District 1:1 Device Deployment

All students in grades 7-12 will receive a brand new Dell Latitude 2-in-1 laptop starting December 1 through December 4. They will be given out in their scheduled Physical Education classes.

The goals of this project is to increase student achievement through the improvement of technical literacies, innovative approaches to learning, and preparing all Middleburgh Central School District students to compete in a global economy. Areas of emphasis will include:

  • Creativity and innovation
  • Communication and collaboration
  • Research and information fluency
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making
  • Digital citizenship
  • Technological operations and concepts

Laptop Specifications

  • Dell Latitude 2-in-1 laptop
  • Processor: Intel® Silver N5030 CPU @ 1.10Ghz   1.50 GHz
  • Installed Memory (RAM): 4.00GB (3.83 GB usable)
  • System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
  • Pen and Touch: Pen and Touch Support with 10 Touch Points
  • Windows 10 Enterprise

Receiving Your Laptop

Students and parents will be required to complete the following steps before laptops will be issued:

  • If a device was previously loaned out that device and power corded needs to be returned and inspected.
  • Attend an orientation meeting where students will be introduced to the basic functions and sign on procedures. (In their PE class)
  • Students will submit the student’s and parent/guardian agreement forms.
  • Students will log in and conduct an initial set up.
  • The deployment process will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
Fully Remote Students can arrive any day between 9:00-2:00pm Tuesday – Friday and between 3:00-5:30pm on Thursday, December 3.
