Dear Parents/Guardians,
Now that we are in the final days of the school year, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some important information.
Grades 7-11 Awards Night
Our awards presentation will be on Monday, June 12, at 6 p.m. Families will be notified if their student is receiving an award. However, all are welcome to attend.
Class Day
Class Day will be on June 13.
Lockers
The last day of school is June 13. Students must have their lockers cleared out by dismissal on that day. They should turn in their locks to the main office. Beginning June 14, students will no longer have access to their lockers.
Food Service
June 13 is the last day that breakfast and lunch will be served.
Regents Week
Regents will be administered on Wednesday, June 14, through Thursday, June 22. Students taking morning Regents exams should arrive by 8 a.m., and the exams will begin at 8:15 a.m. Students taking afternoon Regents exams should arrive by 11:15 a.m., and the exams will begin at 11:30 a.m. Students do not have to attend school on days that Regents exams are being administered unless they are scheduled to take an exam. If you have any questions concerning the schedule or which exams your child is required to take, please contact the Counseling Center at 827-3600, x2601.
Juneteenth Holiday Observance
There will be no school on June 19.
Transportation
During Regents Week, any student who plans to utilize the regular bus run must remain on school property. Study halls will be provided if necessary. Any student who needs transportation after 2:45 p.m. on June 14 through June 21 or after 11:15 a.m. on June 22, due to testing, must make arrangements for transportation by 9 a.m. in the main office on that day.
Laptops
All laptops and chargers will be collected in the library “Maker Space” (the library’s lower level by the math rooms). Students should turn in their laptops on Monday, June 13 and Tuesday, June 14. Any student taking a Regents exam can turn in their device after their test at any point during Regents week. All devices and chargers should be returned no later than Thursday, June 22, by 2 p.m. Seniors will not receive their diploma until their device is returned.
Graduation
We will be celebrating our seniors with a number of events in June, culminating with graduation on June 23. A complete list of Class of 2023 graduation dates and information is available here.
