Survey to Help MCS Respond to Students’ Needs

On Tuesday, February 3, in collaboration with the Partnerships in Education and Resilience (PEAR), Middleburgh Central Schools will be administering PEAR’s Holistic Student Assessment to students in grades 4 through 11. There is increasing evidence that helping students feel good about themselves, their school, and their relationships improves their learning. Right now, students are struggling. We know the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted learning and development which is all the more reason to have as many students as possible complete this survey. MCS will use this data to help improve their wellbeing and create districtwide and school-based initiatives for all of our K-12 learners during the pandemic and beyond.

This will be the fourth time we have used this survey since our partnership began three years ago. The results have assisted in creating a culture of belonging, reflection and support. If you wish to have your child opt out of the survey, please fill out this printer-friendly form and hand it in by Wednesday, January 27. We will assume that we have permission for your child to complete the survey if a form is not returned. If you have trouble accessing this form, please contact Jr. Sr. High School Principal Matt Sloane at Matthew.Sloane@MiddleburghCSD.org  or Elementary School Principal Amy Irwin at Amy.Irwin@MiddleburghCSD.org and an alternative format will be provided.
