Three MCS Fall sports teams earn Scholar-Athlete distinctions

Three out of four Fall sports teams at Middleburgh earned Scholar-Athlete designations from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA). To earn such that designation, at least 75% of the members of the team had to have an overall average of 90% or higher.

The three teams to earn the distinction were Volleyball, with an overall average of 95.2%, Golf, with an overall average of 94.8%, and Girls Soccer, with an overall average of 93.4%.

The district also had 43 athletes earn Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Scholar-Athlete awards. Students needed an average of 85% or higher to earn a WAC Scholar-Athlete award. 33 students earned NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete awards. Students needed an average of 90% or higher to earn that award.

The list of students who earned Scholar-Athlete awards for the Fall sports season are listed below. A student with one asterisk received a WAC award, a student with two asterisks received a WAC award and a NYSPHSAA award:
