Dear Middleburgh Families,
Thank you to the families and community members who attended the Board of Education meeting on Wednesday and shared input regarding student progression. The Board values the perspectives that were shared and appreciates the time, care, and advocacy brought forward on behalf of our students.
Most importantly, please know that you were heard. The concerns, questions, and personal experiences shared by families were meaningful and will help guide the district’s next steps.
Following the discussion, the Board has directed the administration to develop a revised plan for students to move forward to their traditional, New York State-recognized grade levels for the 2026–2027 school year. As part of that revised plan, the administration will review class configurations and the needed reading supports and other available resources to help our students succeed.
Additional information will be shared by the District as the administration develops the next steps.
Thank you for your continued partnership and advocacy on behalf of our students.
Pamela Standhart, Board President
