Middleburgh Central School District welcomes Kristin Farley as the district’s new literacy specialist.
Originally from Gloversville, Farley earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood/childhood education and her master’s degree in literacy education from SUNY Cortland. Before joining Middleburgh, she gained experience through substitute teaching at the elementary level and most recently taught kindergarten.
Farley is looking forward to working with different grade levels. “I am excited to be able to focus on early literacy skills and help students grow and foster a love for reading,” Farley said.
Outside of school, one of Farley’s favorite hobbies is photography. She especially enjoys taking photos while traveling and exploring new places.
“I love being able to document memories and new experiences that I can look back on down the road,” she said.
Middleburgh Elementary School is pleased to welcome Farley and looks forward to the contributions she will make in supporting students as they develop their literacy skills.
