MCS Pre-Kindergarten Program

The Middleburgh Central School District’s Universal Pre-kindergarten program addresses instructional components, cognitive skills, social and emotional development and the physical skills of youngsters through purposeful play. Children must be 4 years old on or before Dec. 1 and reside in the Middleburgh School District to be eligible. The program does not require income eligibility. All forms in the prekindergarten application packet must be completed and brought to the District Office in the high school building, including the residency form, together with proof of residency. All parents must complete the residency form.


Universal Prekindergarten is open to children residing in the school district who are 4 years old on or before Dec. 1 of the current school year. Income eligibility is not a factor and all families are encouraged to apply. Up to 18 children are allowed in each session. At this time, 36 children from the Middleburgh Central School District may be enrolled in the program.


The staff at Middleburgh Pre-K consists of one teacher and one teacher assistant.


Pre-K has a morning and afternoon session and follows the Middleburgh Central School calendar.

  • AM: 8:00-10:30 a.m.
  • PM: 12:30- 2:45 p.m.
