Art Club Students Immerse Themselves in Learning at Exhibit

Art students at Claude Money exhibitMiddleburgh elementary students went on an art adventure on Nov. 2, attending “Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience in Schenectady.” The 65 members of the art club were able to experience paintings such as “Haystack at the End of Summer 1891,” “Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies 1899,” and “Poppies 1873” while learning more about the French painter and impressionism.   

Art students showing his own work at Claude Money exhibitThe exhibit offers students an experience of learning about Monet and his style through a 360-degree light and sound exhibit, a virtual reality ride through Monet’s artistic journey, and by creating art inspired by Monet.

Art Club advisor and teacher Kimberly Audino says it was an exceptional student opportunity.
