Equestrian Exposition

This month a group of FFA members went to the Equine Affaire in Springfield, Massachusetts. Sophomore Lyrique Busch shared the following information about the trip.

We got up very early, met up at the school, and were on the road by 6:30am! When we entered the Equine Affaire everyone was very excited to see the horses. There were around four buildings that were able to walk around in. There were a bunch of vendors and booths that were representing the equestrian businesses and industry in the northeast. There were also over 12 breeds represented in the breed barn. We saw Michelle Mulcahy from Triple Crown Feeds who spoke to our Equine Science and Animal Science classes about animal nutrition early that week. We competed in a scavenger hunt and got to have a lot of cool experiences. In the afternoon we met up to watch a jumping clinic with Rita Timpanaro. We watched women ride their beautiful horses and learned about jumping. Everyone had an amazing time!
