If you experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 and are behind on your housing payments, you could be eligible for the New York State Homeowner Assistance Fund. Please read more in this link about the type of assistance that is available through this federal program.
Applications will be accepted starting January 3, 2022, but it is important to note the type of documentation needed to apply. We recommend you check out this link in advance of applying because it informs what documents you will need to have ready. There is a limited amount of funding and applications will be processed in the order they are received.
