JV Knights Came to Play Against Crosstown Rival

From the jump ball to the final horn, Middleburgh versus Schoharie was a well contested non-league matchup. After being down the majority of the game, in the final minutes, the Knights evened up the score and held on for the win 39-38.

“This was a whole team win,” said MCS Coach Justin Hamm. “Our guys on the floor and the guys on the bench came together and did a great job of staying together and winning as a team!”

John Shaw absolutely dominated the paint in this game grabbing rebounds, affecting shots and also scoring 12 big points. Connor Prokop had some monster rebounds and played great defense during the game, he finished with six points. Lucas Shaw set the tone with his physical play and hustle plays — diving on the floor and guarding the primary ball handler. He ended the game with five points. Billy Martinez is becoming one of the best rebounding guards in the area and once again showed his heart and determination by rebounding well and contributing two points. Jaesen Hoop made his season debut tonight off the bench and helped give us an extra ball handler and finished with two points.
