Local First Responders Join Middleburgh SADD for Student Safety Program

Firefighters wearing protective gear work beside a damaged car in front of a fire truck labeled “Middleburgh.” One responder leans into the vehicle while another stands nearby, and hydraulic rescue tools rest on the ground in the foreground.Middleburgh Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) partnered with local emergency responders and organizations to help keep our community safe.

A dramatic crash simulation showed how quickly a night can change. Students followed a full sequence of events, from a 911 call to the arrival of emergency crews. Along the way, they saw how different agencies work together during a response.

A student sits in a driving simulator with a red seat, while an adult points at a large screen showing a road scene and dashboard display, guiding the student during a safety demonstration.Afterward, students moved through hands-on stations, from impaired driving simulations to peer pressure role-play to a moving victim impact video. The stations gave students a chance to ask questions and talk through real-world scenarios

Two students wearing goggles move across a gym floor on low scooters during an activity marked with cones, with one student turning while the other moves in the opposite direction.
