Mark your calendar for games, festivities and school budget vote

Middleburgh Central School District will be the center of many activities on May 21. Family and community members are encouraged to mark their calendars and enjoy the following:

  • K-6 Art Exhibit, 5-8:30 p.m.
  • Grade 4-6 Band and Choir Concert, 7 p.m.
  • BBQ Pulled Pork Dinner Hosted by Class of 2027, 3-6 p.m. (pre-sale only)
  • Modified Baseball and Softball vs. Mayfield, 4:30 p.m.

Note: All of the activities are taking place at the MCS Jr./Sr. High Campus.

The art exhibit and the concert are part of the Festival of the Arts. Families are invited to enjoy complimentary donuts, drinks and make-your-own sundaes as part of the festival. There will also be a scavenger hunt, balloon animals and face painting.

“We are excited to bring the Middleburgh school community together for a night of celebration and civic engagement,” said Superintendent Mark Place. “We encourage everyone to come and enjoy the many activities we have planned, and while you’re here, cast your vote for the 2024-2025 budget.”

The school budget vote also takes place on May 21. Middleburgh Central School District residents will be asked to consider the budget for the 2024-25 school year and will vote on three propositions. Residents will also elect two school board members. Details on the budget proposal, the propositions and the board candidates, are available at Middleburghcsd.org. Polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m.
