MCS COVID-19 Protocols Remain in Effect

Dear Middleburgh community,

Across the state, restrictions established as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic are changing; however, the Department of Health has not lifted many of the public safety precautions for schools. To clear up any confusion, our district protocols are in place for everyone regardless of vaccination status.

Face Coverings (masks) Requirement

  • Must be worn by all school students, staff and visitors.
  • Even when you are outside — including at athletic events, recess, and end-of-year activities and ceremonies.
  • Worn on the school bus by students, drivers, and aides.

The New York State Department of Health also states that schools must maintain a physical distance of six feet and a health attestation form must be filled out daily.

Please know that we are continuing to work very closely with our local health department. As guidance and protocols change, we will keep you informed.

Sincerely,

Brian Dunn
Superintendent of Schools
