The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All East division includes students from 11 Northeastern states and Europe. Students will travel to Rochester in April 2023 to rehearse and perform with their honors ensembles.

Admission to the All Eastern division is a rigorous selective process. Quin competed against students from Connecticut, New Hampshire, Delaware, New Jersey, Washington D.C., New York, Pennsylvania, Maine, Rhode Island, Maryland, Vermont and Massachusetts District of Columbia for the chance to join one of the selective ensembles that will perform in April’s festival.

“Selected to perform in the 2023 All-Eastern Honors Ensembles will be the most musically talented high school students in the Eastern region of the United States,” the New York State School Music Association website explains

Quin is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, playing a number of instruments including tenor saxophone, guitar, piano, bass, and drums. To audition for the NAfME ensemble, Quin was required to demonstrate musical facility in a variety of musical styles.

Congratulations Quin on this remarkable achievement!
