School-Based Health available for sick visits

With the increasing number of respiratory illnesses among children this fall, the Middleburgh School-Based Health Center is here to help ensure that Middleburgh students are cared for safely when they are ill. Call 518-827-3793 or 844-255-7242 to fast-track an appointment for your child. SBHC can still see your child even if they are not in school due to illness.

MCS has seen a significant increase in student absences as well as students being sent home with fevers. In order to reduce the spread of these respiratory illnesses, we are asking for your help.

  • If your child has a fever, please keep them home. They should only return when they are fever-free for 24 hours without the aid of fever-reducing medications.
  • Remind your children:
    • Not to cough or sneeze into their hands; sneeze or cough into their elbow instead.
    • To wash their hands often with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds.

As a reminder, MCS supports both students and staff who choose to wear a face covering.
