Liam and Gabe English represented the BKW-Middleburgh wrestling team at the NYSPHSAA state tournament on February 25 & 26 – the first Middleburgh student-athletes to ever do so. The brothers made it through the first day of the tournament to compete in the semi-finals. Liam made it on the podium with a finish in the top eight of all NYS wrestlers in his weight class. Gabe competed in the championship match and walked away with second place in his weight class.
Concluding their first varsity season, these eighth-grade brothers have set the bar high and have a bright future. We look forward to seeing how they do in years to come!
