MCS is celebrating Music in Our Schools (MIOSM) month in a big way in March. Two concerts and three performances of “Shrek the Musical” will grace the stage. The National Association for Music Education promotes MIOSM as a way to raise awareness of the importance of music education for children.
Grade 4-12 students will lift their voices for the All Vocal Concert on March 5, at 7 p.m. Admission is free. March 7 is designated as a snow date, if needed.
In mid-March, ogres and other magical creatures will take the stage for “Shrek the Musical.” Performances are March 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. and March 17 at 2 p.m. General admission tickets are $12 and student and senior tickets are $10 each.
With their instruments tuned, and donning concert attire, MCS students in grades 4-12 will take the stage on March 19 at 7 p.m. for the All Instrumental Concert. Admission is free. The snow date for the performance is March 21.
