The MCS stage will come alive with “Shrek the Musical” on March 15-16 at 7 p.m. and March 17 at 2 p.m.

The drama club has poured hours of rehearsals into perfecting the show. “Shrek the Musical” combines singing, dancing and acting with fantastic stage design, making this a performance people of all ages will enjoy.

Olivia Skowfoe, who plays Gingy, says it has been a great experience to be part of the crew bringing the show to life.

“Within our musical community, we have created our own little family, and it’s different from any other relationship I have had with my sports teams,” said Showfoe. “We’re able to depend on each other, even outside of the musical.”

Liam Hooper, who portrays Pinocchio, agrees.

“It’s been really fun to make,” says Liam. “Everyone is enjoying it thoroughly, and I think people should come see it because I think it will be one of our best shows ever.”

Tickets are available at the door. General admission tickets are $12, with a special $10 rate for students and seniors.
