Our Odyssey of the Mind team that has been solving problems together since elementary school is heading to the state competition. Their coach, Josh Bornt says it’s the fifth year they have qualified for states. “They’re a great group of kids. Each year they’ve improved and grown as a team,” Mr. Bornt said.

At the regional competition, the OOTM Division 3 Problem 3 Team finished in first place. The long term problem was to write the music and lyrics for an eight minute musical about a little known historical figure. The team wrote three songs about Irish Pirate Grace O’Malley.
The district wishes the OOTM team and Coach Bornt the best of luck at the state competition – live at the New York State Fairgrounds next Saturday, March 26th.
