Pre-K students learn about dinosaurs, fossils

pre-k students pose for a picture while learning about dinosaursOur Pre-Kindergarten students are going back in time to learn about dinosaurs! Pre-K students learned about being a paleontologist, and experimented with what it would be like to be a scientist in the field.

Using brushes or fingers, students dug through sand to find dinosaur skeletons, and then removed them carefully to see the “fossil imprint” that remained. A few days later, students were able to make their own fossils. A few students decided to make their own “Jurassic Park” with the dinosaurs as well.

The class will have a “Dinosaurs Spring into Action Celebration” in the future, where many more activities will take place, including a volcano “eruption” if the weather cooperates!

Online registration for the UPK 3 and UPK 4 programs are now open. You can get more information about the programs here.
