Middleburgh Central School District welcomes Makenzie Terrell as the new school counselor at Middleburgh Junior-Senior High School.
Terrell earned her bachelor’s degree in applied psychology from SUNY Cobleskill and her master’s degree in school counseling from SUNY Oneonta. In her new role, she will work with students as they navigate the academic, social and career-related aspects of their high school experience.
Terrell will work with students and families, collaborate with staff, and provide resources and guidance that help students develop skills and prepare for their next steps.
“My philosophy is to meet students where they are, listen to their needs and provide support that helps them move forward,” Terrell said. “I believe every student has strengths and potential, and my role is to help them recognize those strengths, make informed decisions, develop confidence and prepare for their future.”
Middleburgh Central School District is pleased to welcome Terrell and looks forward to the meaningful connections she will build with students as they grow, develop confidence and plan for life after high school.
