Since 2007, Middleburgh Central School District has partnered with Bassett Healthcare Network to offer School-Based Health Centers at the elementary and Jr./Sr. High Schools. We’re excited to announce construction will soon begin on a newly designed space at the elementary school.
The expanded space will improve how well-care and dental services are provided to students..
Due to this construction, the last day for in-person visits at the elementary school clinic will be May 13. After that date, in-person clinic visits for elementary students will be offered at Jr./Sr. high school. Mental health appointments will remain at the elementary school.
During renovations, SBHC hours will stay the same:
- School days: 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
- Extended hours: Fridays, opening at 7 a.m.
SBHC is also available regionally and will continue to offer appointments at MCS in July and August.
Important note: transportation must be provided by the child’s parent or guardian.
Caroline Andrew, Family Nurse Practitioner with Bassett Healthcare Network said, “We understand transportation may be challenging for some families. SBHC is committed to supporting students during the remodel and encourages families to call the clinic at 518-827-3793 or 1-844-255-7242 to discuss concerns.”
She added, We appreciate our families’ patience during this temporary transition. We look forward to welcoming students and families back to the improved SBHC clinic at the elementary school this fall.
