Emmy Award-winning journalist and author, John Gray will visit the elementary school Tuesday, April 12, to talk with students and read his latest book, Sweet Polly Petals.
Mr. Gray tells uplifting stories to teach children that kindness is the path to happiness. He is a father of three and lives in upstate New York with his wife Courtney and their five rescue dogs; three of which have disabilities. Mr. Gray donates a generous portion of book sales to help others; he has given $30,000 to more than 50 animal shelters around the country.
Middleburgh students will get a six dollar discount for a hardcopy of his book, Sweet Polly Petals. You can purchase it through Mrs. Howe by sending in $10.00 cash or check made out to MCS Pride Account. Mr. Gray plans to use a portion of the proceeds from his newest book to help the homeless.
John Gray has also authored two other popular children’s books: God Needed a Puppy, and Keller’s Heart.
