Meet the new elementary school nurse

School nurse Kayleigh Brodie, knight on horseKayleigh Brodie recently joined our Middleburgh Elementary School team as one of our nurses.  She lives nearby in Duanesburg with her family and their four dogs.

Kayleigh studied nursing at The Belanger School of Nursing in Schenectady where she received an Associate’s Degree.

Prior to joining our Middleburgh team, she was a nurse at St. Mary’s and also provided home healthcare to patients.  Kayleigh loves working with children and at one point worked as a daycare teacher.  She also has volunteered at the senior meal center in Duanesburg for a number of years.

In her free time, Kayleigh loves reading and spending time with her family.  Kayleigh has a six month old son who she enjoys doing crafts with. Once her son is older, she plans to return to school for a Bachelor’s Degree.

“I would describe my job like going to the fair,” Kayleigh said. “You always hear kids laughing and see them smiling.”
