“Summer vacation may look a bit different this year, but we’re happy to partner with Capital Region BOCES to offer eight weeks of activities to keep children engaged all summer long,” said Superintendent  Brian P. Dunn.

Capital Region BOCES’ Deputy District Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Lauren Gemmill added:  “By collaborating with the educators that we have right here in the Capital Region, the site was created as a fun and enriching resource for parents and their elementary-aged children as they head into the summer.”

The Summer Adventure website will provide a range of activities for kids and their families, ranging from cooking to science to arts and crafts to mindful moments. With a mix of independent learning and family fun, parents will have the freedom to choose from a variety of summer adventures for their kids.

“Summer Adventure gives families throughout the state, not just in the Capital Region, the opportunity to enrich their children’s summer in a fun and educational way,” added Capital Region BOCES’ District Superintendent Anita Murphy.

New activities will be unveiled every Friday beginning tomorrow, July 3, through Friday, Aug. 21!
