Miranda Cancio wins MCS District Spelling Bee

Miranda Cancio reacts to winning the MCS spelling beeOn January 12th, students from grades 4-8 competed in the Middleburgh Central Schools District Bee to see who would represent the district at the regional bee next month. Fifth grader Miranda Cancio outlasted her fellow students, winning on the word “defensiveness”.

Miranda now goes on to the Regional Bee at Proctors in Schenectady on February 13th at 9 a.m. She will compete against students from districts in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties!
